Pigeon Sculpture Progress


The main armature has been made up and is ready for the  next development

The mesh for the  wings and wire for the neck are in place and then the first clay profile base is laid down
Then the profile is built up , the  musculature and  form under the  feathers is studied and  developed



You can see the deep keel of the breast bone which carries the flying muscles
Next a base layer is carefully added to the  wing mesh and  the details of the feathers studied, also the  face and feet studied and gradually  formed



The sky view is developing,
though one wing needs to be matched to the other
